At Walki, we are determined to do our share in securing the supply chains that keep societies running despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a supplier of materials to the packaging industry, we are recognized as an essential part in the supply chain ensuring that food, pharmaceuticals and protective clothing are available according to the highest hygienic standards.
Thanks to our dedicated employees, all our 13 plants in Europe and China are fully operational to make sure everything possible is done to secure the business continency for our partners.
The company is closely monitoring the situation and taking strict health and safety precautions at all plants to protect the wellbeing of its employees and all stakeholders. Our top priority remains the same - to ensure a safe working environment for all our employees. At the same time, we are also striving to maintain business continuity in order for us to continue to serve our customers and to provide jobs and income for our people.
Some countries start to open up the restrictions and so do we at Walki, following the instructions and guidance given by the local authorities.
• Domestic business travelling by own car is allowed.
• Walki recommends all its employees to refrain from international travelling, also privately
• Walki recommends that all non-production critical persons should continue to work from home. Employees who work in the plants need to follow closely the strict safety and health guidelines.
• Walki declines to receive visitors at all of its plants or offices worldwide until further notice. Business critical visitors and subcontractors are allowed to enter Walki premises, only with the authorization from the Plant Manager or a Group Executive Team member.
These guidelines are valid until until further notice. However, Walki will regularly evaluate the situation and the official recommendations and update the guidance when needed.
