Walki Corporate Sustainability Report 2025
Walki has published its Corporate Sustainability Report 2025, providing an overview of our progress, priorities and performance across environmental, social and governance topics.
The report reflects a year shaped by transition. While market conditions remained challenging, our focus was on strengthening our operational foundation and preparing for upcoming regulatory developments, including the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).
Throughout the year, we continued to support our customers in their transition to more sustainable solutions. Demand is increasingly shifting towards recyclable and circular alternatives, and our development work has focused on enabling this transition through both fibre-based and polymer-based innovations.
Circularity remains at the core of Walki’s strategy. We continued advancing paperisation by developing fibre-based solutions where performance requirements allow, while also improving the sustainability of plastic-based materials where substitution is not feasible.
In 2025, we also achieved several important milestones in our sustainability journey. Our near-term climate targets were validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), confirming alignment with global climate goals. We also maintained strong progress in energy and material efficiency and product circularity, with the majority of our portfolio already designed to be recyclable, compostable or durable.
Sustainability is embedded throughout our operations, from raw material sourcing and product design to manufacturing and supply chain management. Our strategy is built around three environmental focus areas: sustainable raw materials, greenhouse gas emission reductions and circularity, supported by a strong foundation of responsible business conduct, employee wellbeing and governance.
Looking ahead, our priorities remain clear. We will continue to invest in innovation, strengthen our product portfolio and support our customers in meeting evolving regulatory requirements and sustainability expectations.
