Walki’s energy saving construction membranes keep buildings healthy and energy efficient to meet the strict requirements for the future.

Walki uses smart laminates, made of nonwovens, films, reinforcement and /or aluminium to taylor membranes according to customer needs, such as breathable materials, which create the foundation for breathable structures that prevent humidity related issues in houses and make them healthier for inhabitants.

Walki®Active

Walki®Active is a vapour variable membrane made from a non-woven polypropylene and a functional film layer.
The membrane is dual purpose. In the winter, when it is warmer indoors than outdoors, water vapour tends to flow from inside to outside. Then the functional film layer acts as a vapour barrier ensuring that virtually no vapour gets into the structure.
In the summer, vapour flow generally turns from outdoors to indoors. The polyethylene-copolymer film opens and allows water vapour to flow through the structure, allowing extra moisture to leave freely.

Walki®Active

Walki®Rad FA

Walki®Rad FA products are radiant barrier materials that are installed in buildings to reduce summer heat gain and winter heat loss, and hence to reduce building heating and cooling energy usage. The potential benefit of attic radiant barriers is primarily in reducing air-conditioning cooling loads in warm or hot climates. Radiant barriers usually consist of a thin sheet or coating of a highly reflective material, usually aluminium, applied to one or both sides of a number of substrate materials. These substrates include kraft paper, plastic films, cardboard, plywood sheathing, and air infiltration barrier material. Some products are fibre reinforced to increase the durability and ease of handling.

Walki®Roof Mono 135

Walki®Roof Mono 135 is one of the watertight, breathable membranes of the new generation. It is composed of a layer of monolithic film between two layers of polypropylene. The functional layer is more durable than the traditional micro-porous film when it comes to withstanding exposure to high and low temperatures. The membrane is very strong and vapour open, retaining its structural characteristics even after years of use.

Moreover, the membrane can withstand chemicals used to preserve wood and oils from tools. It is 100% airtight and functions as a windproof shield. This prevents any undesirable airflow under the membrane and helps to reduce energy consumption. Self-adhesive strips that enable a watertight, windproof covering, can be supplied with Walki®Roof Mono 135 (Plus version).

Walki®Roof Mono 230

Walki®Roof Mono 230 is one of the watertight, vapour open membranes of the new generation. It is composed of a layer of monolithic film between two layers of polypropylene. The new, functional layer is more durable than the traditional micro-porous film when it comes to withstanding exposure to high and low temperatures.

Walki®Roof Mono 230 is especially designed for roofs with a very low pitch and usually comes with two self-adhesive strips to guarantee a watertight and windproof construction.

Walki®Roof PU

Walki®Roof PU 150 is an elastic and durable roofing underlay based on thermoplastic polyurethane.

The membrane is waterproof with optimal air tightness and water vapour transmission rate. In addition, the membrane is resistant to UV-radiation and heat which are important and essential features in any roofing underlay.

Walki®Wall Breath 97

Walki®Wall Breath 97is a watertight, triple-layer, vapour-open membrane composed of two layers of polypropylene and a functional monolithic film.
The membrane can withstand temperatures of up to 70°C, making it suitable for most wall structures.

Walki®Wall Tight

Walki®Wall Tight is a water vapour barrier layer for ceilings and inner surface of outer walls, made of a very strong kraft paper, an aluminium layer and polyethylene between them. This product is suitable for the most demanding constructions such as sauna walls as it can resist temperatures of up to 100°C.
